Jeff Ahdoot

Counsel

Jeffrey Ahdoot has over 15 years of experience representing both patent owners and businesses in complex patent litigation matters before federal district courts, the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the International Trade Commission (ITC), and the Federal Circuit. Drawing on his Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and manufacturing engineering, Mr. Ahdoot brings a strong technical foundation to every matter he handles, enabling him to quickly grasp complex inventions, engage substantively with inventors and expert witnesses, and translate sophisticated engineering concepts into clear, persuasive arguments for judges and juries.

Mr. Ahdoot has litigated patent infringement cases for both plaintiffs and defendants involving a wide range of technologies, including mechanical devices, software applications, medical devices, business methods, electrical devices, digital display and image processing, pharmaceuticals, wireless networking systems, internet technology, GPS systems, electric vehicles, and many other technologies. His dual training in software and manufacturing engineering is particularly valuable in cases that sit at the intersection of hardware and code, allowing him to dissect source code, evaluate manufacturing processes, and scrutinize technical specifications with the fluency of an engineer and the strategic eye of a seasoned litigator.

Beyond the courtroom, Mr. Ahdoot advises companies on their corporate IP assets, including performing portfolio audits and portfolio monetization, handling inbound and outbound licensing requests, and managing a wide range of other IP-related transactions. His technical acumen allows him to assess the true strength and commercial value of patent portfolios, identify infringement risks and licensing opportunities others might miss, and counsel clients on IP strategy in terms grounded in both the underlying technology and the business realities driving it.
